Olive Wool Keeper Jacket

$1,495.00

The Keeper Jacket takes a few liberties with the traditional British shooting jacket, drawing on the practical details of fieldwear once designed for long days in the countryside. There’s something of the gamekeeper’s coat in the leather-trimmed pockets, high-fastening collar and substantial construction, though we’ve given the whole thing a slightly more modern, sporting character.

It’s made from a substantial 24oz wool cloth with a touch of silk, with leather around the pockets, collar and cuffs. A double-ended zip runs down the front, with snap-fastened pockets and cuffs, and a throat latch for when the weather turns.

Sporting by nature, certainly, though you needn’t be heading out for a day in the field to wear it.

Think the Monte Carlo Rally, the Le Mans pits and the Monaco Grand Prix in its more glamorous years. Or photographs of Stirling Moss and Graham Hill between races, a useful reminder that sporting clothes were once expected to have a little style about them.
