A sleeveless cousin to our down jacket, made with much the same thinking. We kept the substantial cotton-nylon cloth, proper down and horizontal quilting, then took away the sleeves, which makes it rather more useful for layering.

Five snaps, large pockets and a stand collar are about all it needs. Wear it over a shirt, under a coat, or when just a jumper turns out to have been a little optimistic.
