Green Casentino Fleece Gilet

A sporty vest with its roots in the practical clothing of the outdoors, somewhere between a hiking layer and an old-fashioned shooting or riding vest. Cut from Casentino wool, a distinctive Italian cloth with a characterful, textured surface, it is hard-wearing, naturally weather-resistant and rather good at taking the edge off a chilly day.

It features a two-way zip, herringbone tape drawstring and twin pockets, with 11-wale corduroy reinforcing the points of stress. A useful garment, certainly, but with a little more charm than your average layering piece.
