A Drake's everyday classic, reworked in collaboration with BEAMS F to celebrate the Japanese institution's 50th anniversary.

Cut for a vintage silhouette using a garment dyed cotton jersey, this staple sweatshirt features a wealth of authentic details including ribbed cuffs, raglan sleeves and the imperative "V" patch on the collar, which prevents stretching, and was primarily added to collect perspiration (hence the name sweatshirt).

Think of it as the casual counterpart of our Shetland jumper – you can wear it under a tailored jacket, with chinos, with denim, with anything - it won't let you down.

We’ve always had a soft spot for the way Japan approaches menswear. There’s a particular attention to detail, a respect for tradition and, importantly, a willingness to make things its own. BEAMS has been doing just that for 50 years.

To celebrate the anniversary, we’ve worked with BEAMS F on a small collection that brings some of our favourite Drake’s pieces into conversation with their distinctly Japanese take on classic menswear. It’s less about looking backwards than seeing what happens when two long-standing appreciators of the same clothes approach them from different sides of the world.
