"The playlist is inspired by my weekly Friday afternoon drives from my architecture studio in Brooklyn to my weekend house in Litchfield County, Connecticut, and is timed to be about the duration of that trip. It starts out with some uptempo tracks that reflect the busy pulse of New York, and gradually grows more calm and relaxed as the city and its arteries slip into the rear view mirror and are replaced by a more pastoral, idyllic landscape. The playlist spans a lot of genres, ranging from funk and disco to jazz, reggae, 90s ambient house, bossa nova, African folk music, Japanese psychedelica, and more. I hope you like it!"
