Over the years Seoul has come to feel like a home away from home for Drake’s. The indelible sense of style, the food, the architecture, the late nights, early mornings, and sense of being in a place that is unique and familiar and more captivating with each visit…. Did we mention the food?
Above all, what makes Seoul special is the people. We’ve had the good fortune of meeting some great characters over the years, building many friendships along the way; a collective that has embraced Drake’s and worn our clothes with an approach that is new, classic, fresh and distinctively of the city.
For our latest Perennials campaign — our vision of a year-round collection, the staples and timeless go-tos that comprise a classic Drake’s wardrobe — we wanted to capture the people who make Drake’s what it is in Seoul, an eclectic group that includes a primary school teacher, a renowned actor, a leathersmith, a baker, an internet comedy sensation, a professional golfer, and the sibling architects who helped to craft our Dosan store.
Some are wearing new season pieces, others well-loved tailoring, poplin shirts, Casentino fleeces, and ties with plenty of backstory. There are Italian-constructed Games suits; our made in Chard Oxford shirts with western detailing; silk ties, hand rolled in our own London workshop; Crosta suede five-pocket chore jackets, and Madras and block print fabrics made expertly in India. Everyone has their own way of wearing Drake’s, which is just how we like it.
