Introducing our collaboration with Japanese outdoor specialists Nanga, where a series of classic Drake’s pieces are reimagined in their signature down.
Founded in 1941 by Akira Yokota, and still family owned, Nanga is named for the formidable peak Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest in the world and considered one of the hardest to climb. Since making their first down jackets in 2001, Nanga has been defined by meticulous craftsmanship and an uncompromising commitment to doing things properly, still making many of their products by hand in Japan.
Our collaboration rests on this shared belief in substance, longevity, and quiet excellence, translating technical mastery into clothing designed for real conditions — whether that’s up a mountain, out fishing, or just a cold January in the big city.
For this collaboration we’ve taken some of our most beloved pieces and reworked them into dramatic new silhouettes and versatile companions for the colder months.
A raglan coat is made in virgin wool herringbone, and paired with a Spanish duck down-filled, quilted taffeta nylon lining, mixing scholarly charm with technical expertise; while a quilted vest is effortlessly wearable, made from soft, durable Japanese cotton, with a recycled nylon lining, it delivers exceptional warmth without bulk.
We also couldn’t resist reworking our Games blazer, elevated in premium Japanese wool, it marries functional innovation and discreet practicality with classic style. Drakes and Nanga, a collaboration that’s comfortable, refined, and always ready for a sudden cold snap.
