We've cooked up a new version of the Five-Pocket Chore Jacket, this time using a rustic blend of linen and cotton that's big on texture and pattern.
As if that wasn't enough, we are excited to welcome a selection of casual footwear from Doek, Japan's premier producers of canvas tennis shoes.
By now, you'll likely be familiar with our Five-Pocket Chore Jacket. It's a permanent fixture around here, part of the furniture. We've made it in everything from heavy suede to lightweight linen. The beauty of the design is in its simplicity, and this allows the FPCJ (if you will) to adapt effortlessly to each season.
The warmer weather is around the corner, so we present to you a version of the chore cut from a rustic blend of cotton and linen. Our design team described it as being 'like a French tablecloth,' and that evocative image tells you everything you need to know. It's big on texture and pattern, and will be perfect for those cooler evenings and milder days.
On the subject of rustic fabrics, we're thrilled to be welcoming a selection of footwear from Doek, Japan's premier maker of timeless tennis shoes. The uppers are made from the brand's famous 'kasuri' canvas which is heavy, tactile, and hardwearing. Then you have the vulcanised rubber soles, which are baked in a kiln much like ceramics are. The end result is a phenomenal pair of oxford-style trainers with a distinctly vintage feel.
