A Sartorial Hole-in-One: The Cashmere Intarsia Golf Jumper

Whether you're an avowed follower of the fairway, or would rather spend your time sinking refreshments at the 19th hole, our Cashmere Intarsia Golf Jumper is a playfully stylish bit of knitwear for on and off the course.
It can sometimes seem like there isn’t much room for fun in the male wardrobe, though there are of course exceptions. One garment that has proven particularly adept at lending itself to a more lighthearted approach is the humble jumper. Ignoring the obvious – and much maligned – Christmas jumper, the simple knitted pullover has become a blank canvas for all sorts of cheery motifs, from Alpine forests to national flags, motor vehicles to woodland mammals.
The intarsia knitting method allows one to depict almost anything in knitwear form, something we had begun to think about of late. In the end, we settled on a golf motif, despite being a team of non-golfers. It seemed like a playful nod to the colourful golfing-themed knits of old, with a reference to the 19th hole, a term which of course denotes the customary après-golf refreshments at the clubhouse (this writer, for one, is happier at the bar than in a bunker).
However, for all its lightheartedness, this jumper is still serious about quality. Knitted from a luxurious Todd & Duncan cashmere yarn (one of the best cashmeres available anywhere), it was made right here in London, in a small specialist workshop that puts an emphasis on traditional techniques.
So, whether you're an avowed follower of the fairway, or would prefer to spend your time sinking refreshments rather than putts, our Cashmere Intarsia Golf Jumper is a playfully stylish bit of knitwear, for on and off the course.
